Camp SAY

Camp SAY is an ACA-Accredited, 2-week, sleep-away summer camp for young people who stutter, ages 8-18. Camp SAY combines a high-quality, traditional camp experience with specialized programs and activities that help kids and teens who stutter develop confidence and independence, improve communication skills, and form important lifelong friendships.
Beginning in the summer of 2022, Camp SAY will be hosted at Camp Eagle Hill, one of the premiere camp facilities on the east coast located in the picturesque Hudson Valley region of Upstate New York, just 90 miles north of New York City. Camp SAY 2022 dates are Sunday, July 24th - Sunday, August 7! Take a virtual tour of Camp Eagle Hill’s state-of-the-art facility!
Campers are welcomed by a super-friendly staff, many of whom also stutter, and immediately see that Camp SAY is a very special place of acceptance, support, and encouragement. Camp SAY is a life-changing summer camp where young people who stutter are free to have fun and stutter as openly as they choose – and everyone ALWAYS gets as much time as they need to speak!
Sliding Scale tuition assistance and a shortened stay option are available. For more information, contact our Camp Director, Travis Robertson, at Travis@SAY.org or 646.403.3516.
NBC's TODAY Show Profiles SAY & Camp SAY
SAY was thrilled to be featured on NBC’s TODAY Show on Wednesday, September 22, 2021! The segment included a wonderful profile of Camp SAY and interviews with SAY’s Vice President & Director of Camp SAY, Travis Robertson, and campers, Kaitlyn and David, all highlighting what makes Camp SAY such a special and transformative experience for young people who stutter. TODAY also presented the world premiere of 'In the Spotlight' and we are excited and grateful that this moving PSA will shine a bright light on stuttering awareness and convey to a broad, national audience that people who stutter know exactly what they want to say – sometimes they just need a little more time to say it!
Camp SAY 2021 FLASH MOB!
We were overjoyed to return to Camp SAY IN PERSON this summer!!! What a gift to spend an incredible 2 weeks of connection, friendship, and FUN with this phenomenal group of kids and teens who stutter. Just one of the many beloved traditions we were thrilled to experience LIVE this summer was our Camp SAY Flash Mob. It definitely didn't disappoint, so enjoy!

George Springer & SAY: Going to Bat for Kids Who Stutter - MLBPA Feature
George Springer is an MLB All-Star and national spokesperson for SAY and Camp SAY who never fails to walk the walk with advocacy, encouragement, and love for young people who stutter. George hosts an annual All-Star Bowling Benefit for Camp SAY and our MVP Camp SAY: Across the USA day camp program in Houston, TX. This beautiful piece from the MLB Players Association was inspired by George's touching meeting with a young fan named Brandon Kelly at a 2019 game in Anaheim when the Angels played the Houston Astros. Brandon has since participated in our programming and become part of the SAY family! George Springer now plays for the Toronto Blue Jays and we are excited to expand SAY programming and stuttering awareness further into Canada in 2022!
