Parents are always looking for games that encourage their child’s development but are so much fun, children don’t even realize they’re learning! Today, games are mostly screen-based, which is troublesome for speech and language development. As a speech-language pathologist (SLP) with over 15 years of clinical experience and numerous therapy sessions with children of all ages, Liz, one of our founders, developed this game for use with her clients. Together with co-founder Shanti, Liz's long time friend and field expert for production and supply chain, Minds That Play was born. Their goal is to develop games that support children's speech and language development and social interaction. Half Match: Monster Edition, their first labor of love, accomplishes exactly this. Liz and Shanti hope that you love playing it as much as they loved creating it!

  • You can use Half Match: Monster Edition to work on many different educational targets. For example, it can be used to work on the /L/ sound by modelling and practicing with the question "Does your monster look like...?"
  • R sounds are very often tricky. Some words and phrases to use for R sound practice while playing Half Match: Monster Edition are "Does your monster have...?", "Your turn," "purple," "red," "green," "straight," "round," "rectangle," "square," "scared," "angry," "bright," and "stripes."
